Located 64km southeast of Héraklion, Dermatos Beach sits in a valley formed by the Anapodaris River, Crete’s longest waterway.

As I walked along the shoreline, the contrast between the blue sea and the surrounding olive groves caught my eye.

It’s a place where nature takes center stage, unspoiled by overdevelopment.

The beach’s shallow waters make it ideal for a relaxing swim.
