International air arrivals in Greece have soared significantly in 2024, with 22.6 million arrivals recorded in the January-September period, marking a 7.9% increase from the previous nine months. This growth translates to 1.6 million additional air arrivals.

  • Second Quarter (April-June): This period saw milder growth, starting with 5.6% in April with 1.4 million international arrivals, and 12.7% in May with 2.9 million arrivals. June recorded 3.8 million arrivals, an increase of 5.6%.
  • Third Quarter (July-September): The smallest increase for 2024 was seen in July with 5.3% and 4.6 million international air arrivals. August saw 4.5 million arrivals with an accelerated growth of 7.4%. September’s growth slowed down to 7.1% with 3.7 million arrivals.
