Location

The area, with its rugged landscape and steep cliffs, is known as Seitan Limania, which translates to ‘satan harbours’ due to the strong sea currents that make it a thrilling spot for adventurers.

Stefanou Beach is also referred to as Saint Rafael, after the nearby church, and Saint Spyridon, due to an ancient cave temple in the vicinity.

The beach of Stefanou is nestled in the northernmost of three parallel narrow coves, shielded from the waves. It boasts a mix of fine pebbles and sand, a gift from the nearby Diplohahalo canyon.

Towering marble cliffs stand guard on either side, providing shelter from harsh weather.

Since the road was paved to this once remote spot, its popularity has soared, especially since 2010, drawing crowds during the peak season.

A steep path leads down from the parking area to the beach, so sturdy shoes are a must.

Beach Profile

Stefanou Beach is a small slice of paradise with its deep blue waters and a blend of pebbles and sand. The depth drops off quickly, making it a place for those comfortable in deeper water.
